Lavinia Challenge October 15

Hi

Just a card I made with my lovely new stamps.

Lots of distress inks and a couple of masks for the background. My new stamp in the foreground. I water bleached the pods and painted them blue and then went to town with Wow embossing glitter. Simples xx

Hobby Art challenge. October 15

Hi to anyone reading,

These cards were made with a sunrise I saw one morning after taking hubby to work. It had a warm glow around the sun, it was a strong peach colour that inspired me to use Abandoned Coral distress ink.
The stamps worked really well and inked up like a dream.

I hope you like x

Oak House Studio DT cards

Hi! Bloggers

I have been creating for the lovely Lynnda at Oak House Studios again.

I have really got into using the stamps and inks, they are so versatile.  I have diluted them for spraying and made my own ink pads.

This card is just repeating a daisy stamp with Wine ink pad and the verse is stamped onto Stampbord.

Lynnda showed this technique of Kissing the stamps together, and this is what I have tried with a small and large daisy stamps.

This is the big daisy stamp, these stamps are very easy to love using.

All 3 layers of this card is in Peacock Green. I embossed some card and used the made up ink pad in the gorgeous Peacock Green, I then sprayed diluted ink through a mask and added a sentiment.  I then stamped out the big daisy and cut it out. It doesn't show too well the sparkle glitter in the centre of the daisy.

That's all for now, thank you for looking xx

Oak House Studio DT October 15

These are the cards that I have made whilst on the Design Team.  I have really enjoyed getting creative with the lovely stamps and lush Inks. The can be soft or vibrant.
I stamped out the stamps that Lynnda sent me plus I used some of my own stash of of stamps.

This is the first card. I used Cobalt Blue ink, and left it to slightly dry and then shaded the clouds. I used some mixed up words to make a sweet Verse.

My next card I used the giant daisy stamp and used my own ink on the flower. I embossed some green card and them rubbed the Peacock Green over the embossed area. I added a small sentiment.

My next card is Roses. Holly Red ink! This Rose stamp is so versatile. Other cards have been stamped in Wine. The colours compliment each other.

This card I made using acetate as the card blank. I cut a heart of roses and glued it to the inside. A single rose on the front along with a sentiment and pearls.

Lynnda sent me just some tiny stamps. I used them all and all of the inks that she sent me. Holly Red, Cobalt Blue, Wine, Yummy Chocolate,  Brazil Nut and Peacock Green.

My next card is a Tag, a mix of Peacock Green and Brazil Nut spritzed on to the tag, stamped with the tiny stamps and tried to give it texture by heat embossing the different inks. I stamped the butterfly stamp onto acetate and cut it out. I used a mix of Peacock Green and Glossy Accents to make glass paint.

My last cards are done with the same stencil. The inks blended extremely well. The Wine ink and small stamps and a pearl.

This card was using the same stencil using the Brazil Nut and Peacock Green inks, this time adding some small stamps with the Yummy Chocolate ink pad.

These are my cards, I hope that you watch Hochanda, this Wednesday and watch Lynnda in action.

I am over the moon that I have been asked to be part of a team to support Lynnda. Thank you x

Clarity Challenge October

Another month has zipped along and Mr T and I have just had our first wedding anniversary. The topic this month is stencils. Well, it had to be the heart stencil, didn't it!

I used a lot of the new purple distress ink to create this anniversary card. Purple is one of his favourite colours. I used 2 stamps to add text.

I think it is simple and manly.

Hope you love it? X

Indigoblu Challenge October

I loved this challenge as it is a good reason to get the gilding flakes out.

I stamped out the lush sunflower and used Distress ink in Squeezed Lemonade  to colour the petals and a touch of red and orange. I used  the new Ground Expresso to colour the the seed head.

I stamped the background with the honeycomb stamp and used the same gilding flakes.

I love the ribbon that my friend Chris gave me. It's called Sari silk. The red gold and green are perfect for the Autumn colours and the match the gilding flakes.
